Chaos In My Room
Colter Martin, Class of 2025
It’s a mess in my room
Sheets are everywhere
There are books on the floor
The laundry is overflowing
Oh, and
I forgot to mention
Clean clothes are not hung up
The lamp is tipped over
Dog fur covers my chair
Furthermore,
Brown mud is staining the carpet
Dirty cleats are on the desk
Ugh, and it smells like mold
The soggy trash is tipped over
And to add to the chaos,
My closet wont close
The bed screws are loose
My desk looks like a bomb
Eww, something weird is on the ceiling
I wish it was nice and neat
Like a military dorm
But I don't want to clean it up
Because there is too much else for me to do
I live a busy life
And I should just roll with it
But the chaos is really bothering me
So I'm going to organize my room

I really like how you use such great detail in describing your room. You talk on every little thing from the lamp to your dirty clothes overflow. Great job!
Colter, this is a great poem, you could use some more similes and metaphors throughout this poem. But I love the detail in the description. Keep up the good work.

Great job Colter! I enjoyed how descriptive you were while writing this poetry. You even went into great detail about a chair. Muy bueno.
