~Finn Gerighty, Class of 2024

“Hello?”

“Hello?”

“Hey, who are you?”

“I’m Sheen, Sheen Williamson.”

“Oh, I’m Dan, why is it so dark in here? Also where are we?”

“I don’t know. It smells like potatoes though. Also, it’s really cold here.

“Yeah, I noticed the cold but not the potatoes.I wonder where we could be? Maybe the back of a truck.”

“That was used for transporting potatoes!”

“Hmmmm… maybe. Here try this: walk over to me and we’ll try and walk into a wall or something to see if we’re in a box or something.”

“Alright.”

“Okay, now go left. No, your other left, okay.”

“Ouch!”

“What, what happened?”

“Ow I just stepped on something I think I’m bleeding, I might bleed out! Ahhh, what if I die here! What if I never make it out! I have kids! I have a family!”

“Okay, Okay, calm down. I’m sure you’re not bleeding out, but it’s definitely not good to hurt you. Try to touch what you’ve stepped on. Feel what it is if you can.”

“Okay… Ow, I think it’s a piece of glass or something.”

“Glass? Here, take my hand and give it to me.”

“Here, got it?”

“Yeah I got it. You definitely stepped on glass. Lets keep walking to find a wall and a way out of here. If there even is a way out.”

“Ah! Stop, I stepped on glass again!”

“Again?”

“Yes again! Not my foot kills twice as much. I’m not walking anymore, you’re on your own.”

“Alright Dan, but we might not make it out, I can’t see anything and I’m starting to get dizzy.”

“Really? You’re getting dizzy? Oh no, this isn’t good, I’m gonna die!!”

“Wait, yell again”

“Ahhhh, Ahhhh, Ahhhh… Whoah… there’s an echo.”

“Yeah, an echo the floor seems to be moving. Is that just me?

“Yeah it’s just you, Sheen.”

“Woah, do you see that?

“See what?”

“That bright light, coming from over there.”

“No, wait, I see it, oh! Ah! I can’t see!”

“Ahhhh!”

“Sheen? Sheen! Sheen, answer me!”
