Cars
Busses
And people

So many people
On the sidewalks
And the crosswalks
All pushing to make their ways through the maze of blocks

The sounds of cars honking
And the thumping of manholes as they are run over
Repeatedly

The steam that flows in big clouds
From the roads
And drifts around slowly before making its way up to the sky

And all around
There are the buildings
Huge and dark
Some blocky likes bricks
Others smooth and rounded
With shiny glass

They reach sturdily into the sky
Impossibly big
And when the day turns into night the highest windows of the buildings
Will have light in them
And look like hundreds of stars
All sparkling

But for now the day is still young
And the only thing to think about is how to navigate the sea of people
And get where you want to go
