Live life like your dying

Another day at the beach in Florida. Many buildings around which means adventure, but don’t take the wrong path. I woke up early at sunset to go meet up with some friends I met named Cole and Colin. Cole was from Colorado, he played baseball, soccer, and basketball. Colin was from Los Angeles. He was a kid who loved hockey and was insane at it. I learned that he was ranked for being an 8th grader which was pretty cool. They were cool people and very interesting to talk to and just hang out with in general.

Off to the beach club I go. I got there and I saw Cole and Colin playing basketball. I went up to them and said “What should we do today?” “I don’t know, we have done almost everything to do here,” said Cole. “I got an idea,” Colin exclaims. “What is it?” Cole and I said together. “Let’s go exploring those buildings over there, I’m sure our parents would be fine with it!”

After asking all of our parents and getting permission. We decided to walk down the beach for around half a mile until we saw some kids walking down from the hotel and Cole said “Let’s go in that place, no one could tell us that we didn’t belong there!” I said “Yeah let’s go but we gotta make sure we can get out easily in case anything happens” “We will be fine,” Colin said. We walked up to this giant Marriott and the place was so cool. We headed up to the top floor and the view was insane.

As we were exploring the hotel near the beach certain places in the hotel needed a key to get in and out of. We were exploring the hotel and eventually, we explored everything. I was like “We should probably start heading out soon.” They said “Let’s just go into the places where we need a key, we’re not gonna get stuck in any places there are lots of people here. So we just went into the place thinking that someone would be in there and we would just leave when he left. Right as we got in I went to go see if there was anyone. There wasn’t. “ Uhhh guys,” I said nervously. “What? They said curiously. “There’s no one here,” I said. “You’re joking right?” Cole said “Come take a look for yourself,” I said in disbelief.

We ended up getting stuck in there for the next 5 hours and then the security guard saw us in there for so long that he came and checked on us. We said that we just forgot our key in our room but he didn’t believe us and kicked us out. Cole goes “That was something!” We say laughing “That will make for one good story”.

At the end of all this, this was a hilarious memory to have with them and I will never forget.
