~Beckett Dwyer, Class of 2027
Thoom.
A sound that happens right before disaster.
Thoom, thoom, thoom.
The sound of angry footsteps pounding the stairs.
The noise when you drop something.
A sudden noise, but undoubtedly leading to something much worse.
The noise is kind of like a clap of thunder,
or a hammer and nail.
It’s like a bunch of drums, creating a never ending chorus of bellowing thooms.
Thoom, thoom, thoom.
The noise of a foot tapping loudly in class.
Or a wild stampede.
Music, music comes, thooming out of big black speakers up on stage.
When the crowd goes wild once again, thoom, thoom, thoom.
A sound.
Thoom.
