~Kevin Yu, Class of 2028

As we pull into the parking lot of Fenn I ask my mom: “ How long do I have to be here?” My mom replies “One hour and a half. While you sell donuts I will be volunteering to help for the sports sale.” My mom drops me off at the donut stand and then she heads to the new gym to get ready for the sports sale.

A couple minutes later the number of people waiting to enter the new gym for the sports sale grew by a lot. Me and my friends kept on advertising for people to buy our donuts. The reason we were selling donuts was because it was raising money for the Fenn PTA (Parent Teacher Association). After a couple minutes of advertising we sold a couple donuts. I knew this was our chance to sell as many as we could because so many people were right next to us waiting for the sports sale. I tell my friends to keep on advertising. Then, something horrible happened. Bees came and landed on the donuts. We use the donut boxes and our hands to make them fly away. But they kept on coming back, so we decided to move the donut stand inside so the bees couldn’t harm us anymore.

After moving the donut stand inside we made a lot of money. Then my friends left. Business was slow again. Until another one of my friends showed up to help sell donuts. After he came we made the big bucks. We were having so much fun selling donuts. We even got a free donut each. In the end we made around $130. When I arrived I was dreading the donut sale, but in the end I loved it. So you should always try new things, because maybe you might even like it.
