~Henry Matheney, Class of 2028
It all started in September of 2023. We were on a long, long, long, long ride to Chicago. It took about 3 hours to get there, so I was just sitting there watching my iPad the whole time. It was probably one of my favorite trips ever though.
When we finally got there, we went to a Uber station, got popcorn, got in our Uber, and waited another 30 minutes, but I fell asleep.
When we got to the hotel, we went to the elevator, went up, and when we got to the room we swiped the card, went in, and I was shocked, because the room was so big. so for some reason, we always get there at 9:30 so didn’t have a lot of time to play so I played for 30 minutes, and went to bed.
When I woke up, I asked my dad if we could get room service, and he said yes.
I said I want pancakes.
So we ordered and in 30 minutes, it got here,
after I ate (the food tastes really good) I relaxed. then in the middle of the day I called my friends and got sick, but stayed on and just tried to stay relaxed.
the rest of the day was just relaxing, so I went to bed.
When I woke up, I was lazy, so was still relaxing. ate breakfast, and then, we went to a big, free outdoor museum in Lincoln which was so fun.we saw pit Vipers, gaboon vipers, lions, seals and A lot more animals.
Then, we took an Uber to one of the tallest buildings in the world, where we sat over 1000 ft in the air, in a big glass box. We took a few photos, which was amazing to experience. Then we went back to the hotel, and ate lunch, relaxed, and I played while my dad worked, then ate dinner, and went to bed.
The next morning was the Same as always, so at the middle of the day we ate lunch and then went to a national science museum and took a tour in a giant war boat. Saw even more went home ate dinner, went to bed.
And the next morning we got up early to catch the train back home.I WAS KINDA SAD BUT IT WAS REALLY FUN. Definitely one of the best trips ever.
