~Henry Mountz, Class of 2029
It all started in Africa when me and my family were traveling. We were looking at “the upside tree”on a walking safari. We heard a loud roaring sound. Turns out it was a very angry elephant mad because nobody would hang out with him. We left because we didn’t want to get caught with him little did we know…
In a little bit we saw an elephant. We thought it was “the” elephant. It started to get a little bit closer every minute. I thought ‘no way a elephant a big ,angry elephant would attack us.’
Eventually the elephant was definitely following us. We sped up and he sped up and then he was right there about hundred feet away.Divided by four minus ten in minutes it was definitely scary not a walk in the park no pun intended.
Then it happened all in a blink of an eye the Gide yelled something at the elephant. Then it put its head down and charged I definitely wasn’t going to watch I ran.
The gun shot just made me run faster. Every time I see the shows where they talk about the deadly snakes that live in Africa, that’s all I could think about.
The elephant was badly injured and sadly it passed later that day.
It’s a story I’ll never forget.
