The Fenn School 2024

William O. TRAVERS

WRITING COMPETITION

At Fenn, we have a tradition of acknowledging the winners of the William O. Travers Writing Contest, an annual literary competition named after former Fenn faculty member, William Travers. The English and Library Departments carefully review and judge all submissions. The best pieces in the categories of poetry, fiction, and personal narrative are chosen from grades four through nine.

Although many excellent submissions may not receive recognition on Prize Day, we still believe that they deserve to be celebrated. Therefore, with the hard work and dedication of Upper School English teacher John Fitzsimmons, we have created an anthology to showcase the effort and creativity of our student body. We take immense pride in our students, and we know William Travers would be proud to see that we are recognizing all students who have shared their writing with our community.

Our heartfelt desire is that you discover as much delight from these compositions as we do.
