Halfway through “How the Other Half Eats,” I’m struck by its exploration of food inequality. It vividly portrays the big differences in access to nutritious food between affluent and lower-income communities. This has prompted me to reflect on my own privilege and how it shapes my dietary choices. The book’s insights highlight the systemic barriers perpetuating food insecurity and the urgent need for collective action to address these disparities. I’m happy  to dive deeper into its themes of social justice and equitable access to food, hoping to contribute to a more inclusive food system through continued reflection and engagement.
