~Bjorn Tellefsen, Class of 2024
This week my partners, Alex, Daniel, Griff, Miles and I worked on finding a time to interview our correspondents at Concord Prison Outreach and we also worked on our infographic that we will present to the grade
I feel pretty good about the upcoming capstone project, except we haven’t quite finished figuring out what to do for it. We know we’re going to do something to help spread awareness about the Concord Prison Outreach program; we just don’t know how yet. We’ve sent an email to Concord Prison Outreach telling them when our Ted Talk is and inviting them to it, and also asking to interview them next week and ask them what they think of our plan. I’m a little nervous that the time for the interview won’t work out, and I’m also a little worried that they won’t be able to make it to the Ted Talk.
I’d say that I’m pretty excited to do this project, but I am definitely dreading it, even if it’s just a little, because I just want to do regular school work. Instead, I have to do a whole project by coming up with a way to spread awareness about the Concord Prison Outreach. On top of the capstone project, I have to write a five- to six-page essay for Global Studies, even though we were told that we wouldn’t have any other work for the rest of the year in Global Studies, Biology, and English, but nope.
This past week I have worked on our infographic that we are going to present to the entire grade. We’re just about done with it, but sadly we’ll need to work on it a little over the weekend. I feel good about our infographic, I think that it is pretty good and has a lot of important information.
This past week I also worked on my essay for Just Mercy, by Bryan Stevenson. I feel good about my essay, in fact I think it’s one of my better pieces of writing this year. I have still got a little bit of it left to write so I’ll do that this weekend.
