Elijah Donnalson, Class of 2024

Our capstone project is about creating a virtual tour for the Eastie Farm organization so people can have an easier understanding of what Eastie Farm is and so they can know the names of the places they are at.

So far, we have sent an email to our group leader, Joel, and introduced what we are doing.

We also talked to him about scheduling a Zoom. We were also supposed to discuss our book that we read earlier in the year about our capstone project.

Later today or later in the week, our group needs to decide on what website we want to use to make our visual tour.

No one in our group has any experience with virtual tours, so it will take a lot of learning and adjusting because this is a new field for all of us, but I believe we can overcome that. We also have a TED talk planned for May 31st.

I am not prepared for this yet, but through some more journaling and brainstorming with my groupmates and adults, I think the TED talk will go really well. Lastly, our group needs to decide who is going to do what, and we also need to decide the timelines within which the objectives need to be completed.

On our last day of the week, we got some really good work done. We confirmed a zoom time that could work for everyone in our group and the coordinator of East Farms. One thing that I worked on a lot during our Friday class was our infographic. Andrew and I really went into depth with the details in our infographic, and we added charts and pictures that really expressed our issues.

We all broke apart into little groups and assigned different parts of the project that needed to be done. Going into next week, we will have our meeting with Joel, who is our group leader for Eastie Farms. During that meeting, we will talk about everything surrounding the project and go into the little details about the virtual tour.

Next week, we will also share our infographics with the other groups so they have a better understanding of what Eastie Farms is and so they can understand our goals and what we have done so far.

Lastly, I think we should start brainstorming what we will make our Ted Talk and how our group will format that presentation.
